Favorite teachers:
Mrs. Aquino - (4th Grade) Very disciplined and dedicated teacher. She was able to make math "click" for me and from then on, I did well in all math related subjects.

Mrs. Regala - (A'Capella) With her enthusiasm and dedication, this was by far my favorite class the last couple of years in high school. Our class went to many different venues and I still have wonderful memories of the places we performed at.

Mrs. Brandt - (Geography) She made the world a very interesting place to study and to this day I still enjoy learning about different cultures and places. I love going to different areas and seeing new things.

School story:
While in Senior Court one day, a bunch of us were sitting outside, around the tree on the circular concrete bench. (Here's a photo.) 

All of a sudden a HUGE rat crawled out of that drain hole by my  foot. Everyone of us that were sitting down immediately raised their feet in the air and scrambled to get out of there!!

This of course made our rat friend panic and he started running around the bottom of the bench area which was a circle area. He was basically trapped and had nowhere to go but back in that drain hole. 

After he did that one of us got a rag, lit it on fire and stuffed it in the hole. This in turn made him come back out and someone had a stick and "capped him". We then threw him over the wall!! 

From then on we not only kept an eye out for the smoking patrol, but for any undesirables in drain holes.
