Winter 2007 |
Eight alums chatted for about 2 hours on March 3. Andy Butler gave an update on his December trip to Manila, including the development of Ft. Boni. Andy has been spending a month in the PI each Christmas for over the last five years now. Alums reminisced about returning to the U.S. on one of the President Lines ships, an option no longer available. The "send off" parties on those ships were fondly remembered. Liz Branch mentioned that Kazakhstan, which she visited twice to adopt children, reminded her of the Pi in the '70s. Don Moore recalled attending Brent, then in Baguio but now also in Makati, for a semester. A number of alums recalled being threatened by their parents with enrollment at Brent! Freddy Gleeck is semi-retired but still traveling. He's headed to New York this week and may be in San Francisco next month. At least half of the alums chatting are planning to attend the San Francisco reunion in September and the others are thinking about it. Chatting were: |
