| It was a historic Chismis: the last chat of the year,
the decade, and...the century! Of course, Y2K preparations were a topic...as was the next tattoo of one alum. Lisa Miles and Rob Forbes had an online reunion across the Pacific after two decades of separation. Lisa's compatriot Australian promoted the joys of beach life down under. Despite an earthquake in Manila a few hours earlier, Phil Adamson was able to get online and advise that he will be in California during the holidays. Maraming salamat to Jeff Phillips and Rick Velayo, who graciously and ably served as guest hosts when the regular host was unable to attend due to a technical glitch. Maligayang Pasko! Participating were: |

| The classes of the '70's continued their strong
participation in these chats and a few first timers were welcomed. International
flavor was provided by an alum from Jamaica. Many participants were from the East
Coast and showed strong interest in a proposed reunion in DC next year. Participating were: |

| This month's Chismis took on an international flavor, with an alum from
Spain and a "guest" (Joe Assad) from Beirut. Tom Perrine advised he is returning
to the Philippines within the next month and we hope to see him here soon. Reunion fever
continued, and it appears 2000 will see an east coast reunion in DC as well as a 30th
reunion for the Class of 70. (Unlike the Galas, these reunions are not official AISAAM
events.) | Gala VI was a major topic of this 3 1/2 hour Chismis. Enquiring minds
wanted to know all about the "who" and "what" at the Hyatt hot tub
early Sunday morning. Reunion fever spread and there was discussion of reunions on the
East coast (in Florida and DC) next year. Alums were treated to the presence of AISAAM
President Cho MacArthur Riordan. Participating were: Cho MacArthur (67) San Mateo, CA Anna Duys (80) Miami, FL Andy Vazquez (70) Miami, FL Shawn Palmer (75) Clemmons, NC Sally Butler (70) Austin, TX Andy Butler (72) Hartland, MI Rick Buenaventura (78) Seattle, WA Bob Baldwin (72) Norcross, GA Rick Velayo (76) Redwood City, CA AISAAM host: Steve Fellerman - 70 Tallahassee, FL |
The last monthly chat before Gala VI brought out eight alums for a five hour session which covered not only the "usual" topics but the pros and cons of tattoos and body piercing. Ay naku!
